Our

 £40,000

Raised since our humble beginnings in 2009 at the back of the Coach and Horse pub, in contributions, collections, raffles and general donations outside of the yearly event.

Something we're very proud of!

OUR CHOSEN CHARITY FOR 2022 IS...

After the past couple of years finances for most people have taken a hit and with the recent announcement

about the increase in the cost of living, we knew the Foodbank would need extra support. They have seen the numbers of people in need of the Foodbank has increased considerably and they fear that this will be a trend

that continues for some time to come.

The volunteers at the Foodbank don't just sort and label food and other essentials - they signpost their

service users to other organisations that could help.

We hope to raise enough money at this year's festival to help the Foodbank to provide this much needed service to people in need. To find out more about the Market Drayton Foodbank, check out their website on the link below...

Selected Charities

For each year of the festival, we select a charity to publicly support throughout the festival. In 2018, we actually chose three charities to support:

  • MS Society

  • Bowel Cancer UK

  • Breast and Prostate Cancer unit at Princess Royal Hospital in Shropshire

Fundraising

For each charity we support, we invite representatives to come to the festival and fund-raise at the event. In the past we've also set up charity stalls for festival guests to go and approach the charity reps and talk about the great work they do.

Performances!

In 2017, we selected a charity called Nordoff Robins, which is a brilliant organisation that teaches music therapy to thousands of people through their own centres and by working in over 150 partnerships with a wide range of organisations including care homes, schools and hospitals.

We invited them to have their own slot on the Rock and Bowl stage, and they performed to thousands of people. It was great to give this charity the recognition they deserve, but also it was a spectacular performance and a true honour to have their band on our stage.
