Don't rock 'til you get enough!
Bringing back the magic, it's Ben: The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute.
Playing at festivals all across Europe, we're very excited to announce this amazing act will be hitting our stage on Monday 28th May, just before our headlining act Hipster.
He's got the moves, the voice, the look and the Michael Jackson stage presence 'down to a T'... certainly going to be a 'Thriller' performance (bad pun, we're sorry... it's just 'the way he's making us feel'...)
And if you don't like it... just BEAT IT! (We're stopping now, honest)
Don't worry - your festival favourites are back!
.The boys are back, so you know it's time to party! Festival favourites Hipster are back, and headliner our main stage on Monday 28th May.
With their mix of rock, pop and indie covers, they know all the best songs to get you dancing and singing along. Always an exciting and energetic crowd-pleaser, we welcome back our extended festival family members to the centre stage!
Many of you may have seen these guys perform before at Rock and Bowl Festival, so here's somethings you may not know:
"You guys were amazing. Absolutely awesome" - HRH Prince Harry
Each year they put on a fantastic show, so we can't wait to see what they are bringing to our 10 year event this summer!
Ay-ay-ayyy, ay-ay-ayyy... here come The Superskas!
Just thinking about these guys makes us want to jump up and dance! We are ecstatic to welcome back The Superskas! It's been a couple of years since we've had this amazing ska band on our stage, and we were getting serious withdrawal symptoms.
“The Superskas allow the audience to relive the experience of one of the UKs most exciting musical movements” The Express & Star newspaper
If you've not had the pleasure of watching them perform before, they are an eight piece (so many instruments!) authentic ska band, with over 10 years experience.
They'll be playing at Rock and Bowl Festival on Monday 28th May 2018 - Get your dancing shoes on and join us in the field!
Tickets are still available folks, just go to our ticket page!
Festival sponsors, Joules Brewery, to hold a Rock and Bowl Warm Up event in our honor!
Each year, our main sponsor Joules Brewery hold a warm up music event in the beer garden of their brewery pub, The Red Lion in Market Drayton.
On the day, there will be three acts playing - Live Wires (Previous Rock and Bowl attendees), Reverie and Jody Jennings - lead singer of festival favourites Hipster!
The Rock and Bowl team will be there on the day in support of the day, so come down and get yourself warmed up for the main event!
Rock and Bowl festival tickets are still on sale, but have been flying off the digital shelves this year. Book soon to avoid disappointment!
Small music festivals are the best! There, we've said it!
It's the most wonderful time of the year! And clearly, we're not on about Christmas... Festival season is almost upon us!
If you hadn't guessed already, we kind of LOVE festivals. But what is it that makes small music festivals, such as Rock and Bowl, so great? There's been an increasing amount of small festivals pop up around the UK, and whilst the giants (V Fest, Download etc) are still very much alive, more and more people are opting for the smaller, boutique festival experience.
Well right or wrong, here's our take on why small music festivals rock that much harder!
Number 1 - The Crew!
Obviously, this is not the case for all (or most) small festivals, but our crew in particular is made up entirely of volunteers! That's a whole team of people coming together, donating their time and skill-sets to putting on an amazing show. So if we're not in it for the money, why bother? Easy, we're passionate people and we graft all year because we want to be part of bringing our event to life. And we think that love and enthusiasm definitely shines through over the weekend.
Number 2 - The Talent
The quality of bands on our stages is something we're VERY particular about. We literally have hundreds of applications from bands wanting to perform at Rock and Bowl. And (hopefully) you'll agree, we deliver the very best in local and far away talent. We love how humble, passionate, enthusiastic and fun our bands are each year, and it's hard to envision bigger festivals having that same experience with the larger acts.
Number 3 - The Atmosphere!
We've all been to big festivals, and absolutely loved it. But at a smaller festival, the difference is undeniable. Perhaps, it's because you don't have to wait 45 minutes in a portaloo queue at a small event, but the energy and buzz at Rock and Bowl has always been phenomenal. Just walking around, we see strangers talking and making friends, families dying in shame as the Dad starts head banging and we've even had a couple of requests for people wanting to propose on stage. It truly is a community spirited event, whether you come from the local town or miles away, there's always new people to talk to, bands to bond over and dance offs to be had.
Rock and Bowl is back for our tenth festival! Saturday 26th - Monday 28th May 2018.

We're Comfortably Numb with excitement! Think Floyd to headline Sunday at Rock and Bowl Festival 2018!
There's isn't many people who can say "I've never heard of Pink Floyd", and if you are one of that minority, prepare to get yourself educated!
This year, we welcome THINK FLOYD, who have been dubbed the Definitive Pink Floyd Experience. They've have been successfully touring the UK and abroad for over 20 years and are now well established as the UK's number one Pink Floyd tribute show.
The Rock and Bowl organising committee are HUGE fans of Pink Floyd, and we are incredibly fussy when it comes to tributes of bands we adore. In summary, if they've impressed us die-hard fans, you're going to LOVE them!
Think Floyd's members consist of four extraordinary musicians, whose attention to detail and appreciation of Floyd's music have been able to faithfully recreate all the atmosphere, visual magnitude and musical excellence of Pink Floyd, live on stage.

Back by popular demand! The Dr (and the medics) will see you now...
And when we say by popular demand... we mean it! Dr and The Medics played at Rock and Bowl Festival in 2015 and 2016, and were a crowd favourite on both weekends.
It's not just a gig for these guys - each show is an experience for anyone in the crowds, as previous Rock and Bowlers will know! We're always excited to see Dr and the Medics - they are just the most fun-loving, pleasant people, and we can't wait to have them back for a third year at Rock and Bowl.
If you've not had the absolute pleasure of watching the Glam Rock gang perform before, you are in for a treat! And yes, they will probably (most definitely) play their 80's Number One hit, "Spirit in the Sky"!
If you'd like to check out some more information on Dr and the Medics, you can visit their website www.doctorandthemedics.com/
From Bryan Adams to Rock and Bowl Festival... Welcome back DAN OWEN!
We are very proud to announce that the exceptional Dan Owen will be performing at this year's Rock and Bowl Music Festival! Our local Rock and Bowlers may recognise this guy from many moons ago as 'Blues Boy Dan Owen' playing on a Thursday night in the Sandbrook Vaults pub.
Skip ahead to present day, singer/songwriter Dan is now a YouTube sensation recognised around the world - and lucky us... he's coming back to Market Drayton! He has over 10M hits on Spotify and has recently played a set on THE Bryan Adams. We are very fortunate to have Dan play at our tenth anniversary year event, which is shaping up to be our biggest ever yet.

REWS played at Glastonbury Festival 2017, and now they're coming to Rock and Bowl 2018!
So who are REWS? They are a London/Belfast based high-energy alternative rock duo consisting of songstress Shauna Tohill and vocalising beat-rocker Collette. Williams
"Melodious but badass. We'll take that." - Team Rock
They recently played on the John Peel stage at Glastonbury in 2017, and have received some amazing press recognition since.
"Shauna Tohill and Collette Williams' debut crackles with wit, verve, energy and enthusiasm, with Tohill's fizzing, fuzzy riffs overlaid with the duo's sharply-structured vocal harmonies and captivating, instantly addictive melodies." - Planet Rock Magazine
They've also been described as the "female Royal Blood" by Mark Radcliffe from Radio 6 Music, which we think perfectly sums up their style of music and performance.
They'll be sure to put the 'Rock' into 'Rock and Bowl' this year, and we can't wait to have them play on Saturday 26th May. It's truly not to be missed!
We'd definitely recommend checking out their music below, or see more at www.rewsmusic.com/videos
